Thank you my friend

And I am just as grateful for the kindness of giving 'faves' to many of my other works

Salamat (thanks) at samuli (and until then),

Lakan

~this is so different. She is so young! She is also so amazingly benevolent. It reminds me of the stories of original Goddesses, this one in particular:
Ix Chel;
(from Goddess Gift: Meet the Goddess - [link] )
"As an ancient fertility goddess, Ix-Chel was responsible for sending rain to nourish the crops. When fulfilling that function she was called “Lady Rainbow”. She helped insure fertility by overturning her sacred womb jar so that the waters would flow.
...
The small Isla Mujeres (“Island of Women”) was devoted to the worship of Ix-Chel. Comfortable with all phases of life, she was honored as the weaver of the life cycle. She protected the fertility of women and was also the keeper of the souls of the dead. "

My thanks for the compliments and the link

The archetype of the goddesses, be it from classical antiquity or to new manifestations resonates within all of us. Even to us men :)

Such an amount of detail :o And the more I look at it, the more I like it, because it's not just bunch of details - they have meaning and purpose, and I find the fact that they aren't noticeable easily at first sight symbolic, too. With time, everything somewhat blurs together, and she is infinite. Yet every being she listens to retains its individuality... Wonderful piece.

Thanks

Even if this is a small piece, it took me quite some time to complete, since I was constantly spacing out (trancing out is a better term) on the piece

The animals within her hair are very effective in showing the Goddess' connectivity to all living things.

WOW. This is so detailed, and so lovely. I am extremely impressed with this piece. The lines are really well done, and it's just got a hypnotic quality to it. I bet it would make for a great meditation piece, too. Love the monkey! Any chance you will do more like this?

HURRAY for TRADITIONAL MEDIA!

Yes I do plan to make more complex works such as this, but it will all depend on the concept.
