Second, in regards to the pentagram, there are so many angles to the meaning whether it is upside down or right side up. Given, right side up may mean man, as such in the pose given by the Vitruvian Man by Leonardo Da Vinci. It can also serve as sacrifice.
In regards to the work, "The Five Keys", I did base it on a sketch by Zaximo (see the links on the page), as I had understood it. The inverted pentagram to me still means man in union, but in a different pose.
I hope to expand more on this concept as I am currently working on a series on the Major Arcana.
I didn't ask for a definite answer on the topic, but exactly what you have answered. I am aware of the multiple interpretations but all that mattered for this specific piece of art was yours as it emerged from your point of view.
Thank you for taking your time and clarifying these inquiries.
I really appreciate your art and I feel as if I should know the artist's inspiration that guided his hand while the drawing was made. Your art made a deep impression upon me since the moment I looked at it for the first time, and I think it to be one of the rare style+context combinations worth ending as a tattoo on my body. Hope this comes as a healthy compliment rather then a creepy thought
Anyway, cherish your talent and I hope your muse will never drain out. Enjoy.
Life is full of visions of the great, the beautiful and the ugly. The very question if we have the fortitude to bring these visions to life, and share them with others . . .
My muse is always with me, but at times I get too busy to pay her attention . . . but still we work well. But now I have a new delay, as I accidentally slashed my hand with a spear. Hope it heals fast enough for me to finish me Major Arcana series
As for tattoos, it is a compliment when people ask if they could use one of my works. However, I always say that as a 'negative' or color on black work, it wouldn't be too good to translate it to tattoo. I suggest that I can design one for you based on some personal elements, which body part will it be placed, and a coloring that is apt for you skin tone.
Apologies for the late response, to be honest, I am quite forgetful although I did consider and reconsider the tattoo idea and it kept being harder to make that final decision regarding the place. Frankly, I could not think of any area more suitable for a meaningful art than along the line of symmetry of my body, so that would mean it would go over the spine. As of personal elements, I was born on 11th of January 1989, I am 190cm in height, Caucasian. Don't know if there is anything more that would ease your conceptual part. Again, thank you for even considering such an offer thou I believe it doesn't come as a burden at all
Actually another DA denizen asked me if he could have one of my works created into a tattoo, and I have realized my drawings can be translated to skin if the tattoo artist is very good
Try answering the following, and maybe I can think of something:
Birth date: January 11, 1989 (given)
Element most associated with: (Fire, Water, Air, or Earth)
Natural Formation most associated with: (Sea, Mountain, Sky, Beach, etc)
Animal most associated with:
Also do tell me if you already have any ink done, and where
No previous tattoos except the temporary ones. This one would be the first-timer.
By the way, I have opened some of your works in Paint and inversed the colors to see how it would look like on white background (skin comparison) and I may say that the art looses only its contrast effect while the context is still firmly there, at least from my perspective. Again, lot of appreciation for your interest in this, still kinda excited to finally consider this project as close to actually happening some day soon. Enjoy!
I am interested in what the signs mean for you in regards to a tattoo. Could you send me an email of the same personal information I asked from you earlier so I can make some studies
First and foremost, welcome to DA.

Until then, keep it touch
