Pink Warriors

This is a photograph of my daughter, who rushed down and into the famed Banaue Rice Terraces, and joined the local Ifugao farmers in planting their rice. It interesting to see that all the farmers were wearing pink, just like my daughter.
I titled this piece “Pink Warriors”, because of how these women fight to preserve their culture, amidst the growing disinterest among the Ifugao youth to farm the land.
