A Collaboration with MrNakes & Balthasarcraft (Iridesce Copernicus and Kyla Cardinalis)

Mixed Media:
Metallic Gel Pen on Board, with Acrylic Painting (the book) with Ballpoint Pen Accents

* The portal opens as the covers are parted.
Each word a stepping stone, each paragraph a guidepost.
The trail has been blazed, though there are but few warnings of the dangers up ahead.
The people met, the places visited, the events witnessed will change the world and how it is seen . . . even if they were all inside a book.

Each story a world
Ev'ry soul a universe;
Ours a stepping stone.

Nice work sir, thank you for posting this

Hi. my name is Jovencio Jimenez and Im a researcher about Philippine mythology.. I would just like to ask if you could participate in a survey that I made for my thesis, this involves the effect of an innovation of Philippine Mythology, by applying illustration from culture mapping. "Culture mapping", a method created by the author to create distinction of the gods over other cultures. for more information you can visit my page at at…;

the survey only consists of 13 questions, and would take only 3-5 minutes of your time.

hoping for your response

Good day Jovencio

My apologies for such a late reply, as I have been relatively inactive in DA, and I haven't answered any of my message until today

How was your thesis? Where are you taking it? I am presently finishing a paper on the creation of the Divine Feminine among different Philippine cultures

This pretty one kind of remind me in the art direction to a recent spanish hip-hop album called "Soy una tostadora" (I'm a toaster machine) by Frank-T. You should check it out. This one is, as always, a really good piece of work that shares a lot of feelings. The words are beautiful too!

It's lovely; chaotic and dangerous but comforting at the same time. Very moving.

This is great, though I am curious what the water-creature is
Lakandiwa Featured By Owner Sep 2, 2010

The water beast is a Shyokoy, a sort of mere-folk from my country. In fact, the warrior in the work is clad in tradition costume and tattoos of the Visayan Pintados

wow, this is brilliant, and a fantastic surprise to boot! I really like your esoteric, almost alchemical style of drawing, a perfect complement to the subject of the piece. And you saw it ... just as I did, when I read Chris's half and felt compelled to write the second half, heheh. You made my day!
