You look at a world
Empty in its form

A grey land . . . cold and sorrowed
The air thickened with the murmurs
Of a thousand voices calling to you
What are you
Or what should you be

You gaze into the still ocean
And see that this land is you

From the desolation you perceive
In the mirror of life

1. Acknowledge yourself

The Angel of Strength bids your mettle
Cast in iron of loyalty

The Angle of Truth bids your word
Crashing like waves against the walls of illusion

The Angel of Peace bids your heart
To a silent repose hidden in the tower

The Angel of Light bids your life
To call upon a blaze in the search for Love

2. Release yourself

Call upon the fires
To burn away name
Child . . . Mother . . . Daughter . . . Friend . . . Foe

Call upon the fires
To burn away emotion

I believe my being inclined to so much detail is genetic. :) As a Filipino, I can escape that intricacy, even when my professor was forcing me into minimalism when I was a student (more than 20 years ago)
