Kasili at Kuyamang

In the beliefs of the Manobo, the world is surrounded by a giant eel known as Kasili. He is accompanied by a giant crab named Kuyamang.
At times, while the two are in their eternal sleep, the Kuyamang falls prey to fits of nightmares, and during such episodes, he accidentally pinches the Kasili with his giant claws. This act causes the Kasili to squirm about, creating the earthquakes which rock the surface world.
