All your drawings are luminous in nature.
Sometimes I have difficulty defining a shape or a character.
I have to look into the drawing to reveal it.
I would love to see you use different thickness pens,
ie.: Make the background outline thick and the character on the foreground with thinner outline.
Also the colors..
If you can get your drawings to present a visual depth and perhaps even fill in "some" of the empty spaces.
Wow! your work would be marvelous!
I hope you appreciate my critique.
Love your art Lakandiwa

Thanks for your insight, and no offense taken.
I did think about creating depth by filling the spaces or using thicker lines. But the effect of the metallic pens gets lost to the form. The real impact of my works is when view at real time, and that is hard to capture here in the virtual world.
Second, this style or technique came to me when I tried to capture the sacred geometries I would see when in meditation, at the principle remains the same. Even if I used models (friends) for some works, the image is based on a mediation I had done about them. Hence, the process becomes too controlled (rather than contemplative) if I were to add focus of linear depth and filling the form.
If that were case I would work on my painting, which is the very anti-thesis of my drawings.
As for colors, for the longest time I only used gold, silver and copper. For these were what I have seen in my meditations; a sort of metallic fire creating pattern in the abyss. It is only this year that I have tried color, and the range of metallic gel pen colors is limited to 7. I tried glitter pens but that didn't work, let alone looked lousy in digital format.
Anyway, the limited color scheme and simplified linear work allows me to focus on the spirit of the image and nothing else.
Thanks again for the inputs. I was actually wondering who would ask me that question.

You focus on the spirit of the image and nothing else.
That's a good thing.
It means you are true to the experience and try to describe it in a drawing form as accurately as possible.
Wow! I'm very interested in your meditations.
It seems like you are having incredible insights.
I have had some incredible meditative experiences myself but never thought of putting them in a drawing.
Have a great day!
When I tried to just draw the pure essence of the vision, it would appear like a combination of automatic drawing and geometric patterns. When I started seeing the patterns flow around people, then that is when these works started to develop.
I have also compromised a lot of the images, not to reveal too much in symbols. I have learned the hard way that there are some people with ill intent who will use the symbols for their own malicious means.
Hence what I present now are a balance between the aesthetic and spiritual image. My deeper works are hidden somewhere
I hope that this will also be a sort of guide for you when you start expressing your meditative visions. And the depth of it may not always be shared. However, I can't wait to see what you will create.
Revel the day's gifts!

We are all given the gift to bring to life (through art) what cannot be seen. We just have different ways of expressing them

When I was around your age, I was making the typical rock n roll death images, aliens, and monsters. And not very well done either
Continue with you explorations, in free hand, computer and photography. Then the day will come when all these media, and what you see inside you will just come into place
Enjoy the journey, and you will realize later you have reached your destination
